Growing up in 4-H and a small community, I learned early on that service and honor mean everything. As a wildland firefighter by profession and a volunteer firefighter by heart, I've spent years training, fighting fires, and protecting communities. But there was always something more I wanted to do – something that would allow me to support my fellow firefighters beyond the front lines.
That's when we started Scorched Tree Leather, a customized shop dedicated to creating high-quality, personalized fire department items, as well as other leather goods. What began as a passion project in my small workshop has grown into a mission-driven business that celebrates the courage and commitment of firefighters.

Serving The Community
My experience as both a career and volunteer firefighter gave me unique insights into what firefighters truly need. I've seen firsthand the camaraderie, the challenges, and the unspoken bond that exists within the wildland and structural fire service.
We offer a diverse range of products, from custom radio belts and glove straps to essential firefighting gear. But we don't stop there – my wife brings her creative touch to the business with unique items like purses, earrings, and trinket trays. Each piece is as individual as the person who will use or wear it.
I pour my heart and soul into each creation, drawing from my own experiences fighting wildfires and responding to emergency calls as a volunteer, while my wife adds her own artistic flair to our collection.
This isn't just a business for me. It's a way to give back to an industry that has given me so much. Every piece I craft is a small way of supporting the firefighting community – recognizing their bravery, their sacrifice, and their unwavering commitment to protecting others.
From my one-man workshop to fire stations across the community and state, I'm proud to create more than just products. I'm creating connections and memories for those who sacrifice daily.
